Typical Saturday morning

There is rarely a peaceful Saturday morning in the Robinson household. Some typical activies include:

Drawing some pictures

Singing some songs

Dancing like crazy people and/or playing ghost

Dressing up

Playing dolls

Or taking care of some business on the phone with Grandma

You never quite know what's gonna happen, but it's rarely just relaxing!

In case you were wondering...

Eric is still super cute.

Here he is just hangin' out on the couch.

He also like to stack and build things. I discovered this in the bathroom one day. He had just gone in there and started stacking.

He also likes to organize things, which he clearly didn't get from me.

And here he is after he discovered he can put pens behind his ears.

Just thought you'd enjoy a few pics of our boy who seems to be growing up too quickly!

Natalie's First Slumber Party

Natalie's birthday party this year was held at our house with the girls from Natalie's preschool class. The guests also had the option of staying and spending the night after the party, and three of them decided to give it a shot. Everyone had a good time at the party and the overnight portion of the celebration went even better than expected. Even Eric had a great time playing the role of "monster" in a few games with the girls. A few pictures from the festivities are below. Apparently Natalie had told all of the girls at school (which we were not aware of) that they should where princess dresses to the party. Some of them got the message and others didn't. Luckily Natalie has a few extra princess dresses lying around so everyone got to wear one in the end.

The girls had the chance to make a frame with a picture of the party girls in their princess dresses. They also got to make their own bracelets. They all worked very hard on their frames and bracelets. Even Eric had a blast making his frame.

We were then foolish enough to stuff them all full of sugar and open presents. That really settled things down...

Then the party really began as the girls got to play with the new toys and run around playing princess.

Then it was time to take a break, color a few pictures, and watch the new Barbie movie.

Finally it was time to break out the sleeping bags and attempt to go to sleep. That process took at least a couple of hours :-)

Everybody was pretty tired in the morning. I have no idea how Natalie's pillow and blankets ended up halfway across the room by morning time. The donuts and OJ delivered by Dad were a big hit for breakfast!

Natalie and the girls had plenty to talk about at school on Monday!

New portraits

We just had the kids' pictures taken again recently and I thought you might like seeing a few of the shots. We got some good shots this time around. If you're reading this you're also likely to be on the list of people who will get some actual pictures in the mail as well. Enjoy!

Easter pictures

We spent Easter morning in Indianapolis with Grandma and Grandpa Robinson, and luckily the Easter Bunny was able to find us there and leave a few surprises. Natalie really enjoyed the clipboard along with the new markers and pens she got. She likes using a clipboard because that's what her teachers at school always use.

Eric got a few new cars, a few new planes, and some new dinosaurs to play with so he was pretty busy all morning as well.

Then it was time for the easter egg hunt! There were lots of fun surprises to be found in the eggs we found lying around the yard. Natalie and Eric both had a great time hunting down the eggs and cracking them open!

We also got a chance to do a second hunt back at Grandma Carol's in Cincinnati. It was a busy day for sure!
